P.S : The only way you can change the nature of the spawner is by having a mod
that gives you a GUI (menu) the change what it spawns. Sadly the mod/plugin that metal uses on this server doesn't have a GUI so what you get is what you have.

My sizing was off and I needed more light I think for a pig to spawn. Oh and I'm now a tree puncher huzzaah

Haha you're getting off topic. But for the spawner to spawn pigs it must say Monster Spawner placed: Natural pig spawner" or something like that in the chat in the same font. That's what tells you what type of spawner it is, the reason it has a pig in the middle of it is because that is a glitch/bug in ALL SMP games.

The Wiki says that under correct conditions it will spawn pigs. It wouldn't lie to me would it? And what plugin is Metalmatt using? If it's dropspawner it will randomly spawn a different monster.

Armine, i was once at another serber, they had a Pigspawner there and i noticed it had a normal fence around thr spawner with grass.

You can make ANY spawner spawn a pig. all you have to do is put it on grass and give it enough light (not sure if it's sunlight only or if torches are ok).
